Don't Put Animals in Cages

Don’t Put Animals in Cages!

We are learning to write a persuasive text. We chose an issue connected to our unit of inquiry and wrote persuasively about it. This is my published work.

I believe that people should stop killing animals and taking their body parts because animals are getting killed or hurt. It is a problem because if we keep hurting the animals they will be extinct.

The first reason is animals are in threat because some people use their body parts as medicine or other stuffs. For example people catch bears and put them into small cages. Bears are in cages because people want a liquid from bears that is called bear bile. It is used for medicine to stop a fever. First they put a tube in the bear and suck up the bear bile. The bears stay in a small cage and it is not fair!

Second reason is they might put animals in cages for shows and things. It is to entertain people. It is not ok to take them from their home. They will be extinct then there will be no more of that animal.

The third reason they take the animals from the wild when they are babies, then when they grow up they don’t really know anything like how to hunt for themselves. Putting animals in cages is bad for their health and the animal will be stressed. Animals need freedom. They need space like a forest to  run and hunt and climb. If they are in small cages they can’t do this.

In conclusion, I do not think putting animals in cages is good for body parts or for entertainment. They should be in their own habitat.
